San Antonio Music Academy exists to help aspiring musicians in the San Antonio community find an outlet through music. Our goal is to ignite creativity, nurture talent, and encourage growth. Instruction is offered for almost every instrument from guitar and piano to drums, voice, & violin. Students of San Antonio Music Academy are given weekly assignments that challenge and encourage their progress. Recitals are offered throughout the year to give the student the opportunity to showcase his/her talent in front of their family and friends. Growth evaluations are provided to keep the student updated on their progress every step of the way. Learning an instrument is an excellent and rewarding adventure that allows one to experience their inner potential.
All ages and skill levels are welcome in my studio! I have more than ten years of experience coaching students from the ages of 5 through 65, from beginning to advanced levels of study. This course of study will prepare violinists for virtually any style of performance, but my lesson plans are based on the Suzuki curricula and classical traditions. I hold a master’s degree in violin performance and have had an extensive professional career as a performer. I’m also proud to say I was blessed to have been homeschooled, K-12 as well.

Piano & Math
I offer piano lessons to beginner pianists. I have taken lessons for 8 years and played many times at my church. I have played many things from duets to classical pieces to hymns to church accompaniment to contemporary songs. Piano is such a lovely skill for any child to learn and I believe that it greatly benefits the mind.
For anyone interested in piano lessons, I offer 15 minute or 30 minute lessons for $1.15/minute.
Additionally, I am a 20 year old college student who was homeschooled my entire life. After being homeschooled along with my 8 siblings and attending various co-ops, I really appreciate the benefits of homeschooling. I was blessed to have an excellent math teacher in high school that instilled in me a love of mathematics. I see many children struggling through their math courses and acquiring a strong dislike for this subject. It is my desire to aid children in liking math and succeeding in those classes. I have tutored many children (4th-11th grade) our the last 2 years.
If anyone would like tutoring services I offer 1 hr sessions for $45/hr.

Laura Pradia began her music studies on the piano when she was six years old. She started violin at age ten, and by the time she turned fifteen, she had added flute and harp. Laura has recently opened her music studio ‘A Mountain Laurel Melody’ and has begun teaching music lessons to give something back for all of the great musical instruction she has received over the years.
Laura loves to improvise, and she is passionate about the variety of musical flavors that can be achieved in a single song. Laura enjoys playing and teaching a wide array of styles including classical, pop, jazz, country, and Celtic fiddle. She particularly enjoys exploring fresh ways to present classic favorites.
