“You can do it!” is my motto. I am a certified teacher in Early Childhood through 8th, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. My strength and love, however, is math.  I am an experienced teacher and tutor for elementary and middle school students.  I have an array of resources available, and have put into practice various learning strategies and techniques.  I maintain my certifications by regularly taking educational workshops and classes to further my knowledge of teaching.  I charge $25/hour and would like to meet at a local library.

I am a former Spanish teacher in both NEISD (Robert E. Lee High School) and NISD (John Marshall High School). I have been a Spanish tutor for over 20 years. I also established and wrote the curriculum for  the elementary Spanish program at Hidden Forest Elementary with 41 volunteers teaching all classes.  Previously I taught in Caracas, Venezuela at the International School and studied for a year in Barcelona, Spain, as a Spanish major at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. My teaching style is engaging and fun, using Spanish almost exclusively.
