I am an In-Homeschooling Instructor, Mentor, and Educational Consultant for Beyond Education. I am originally from south Louisiana but made my way to Trinity University where I got both my undergraduate degree in 2014 and Master of Arts in Teaching in 2015. I am currently certified to teach grades EC3 through sixth grade and have had experience teaching in both the first and second grade classrooms in the San Antonio area. One of my favorite things about working with students 1-on-1 is that you get to focus completely on them, allowing myself as an educator to get creative and cater to the “whole” child. Growing up, I always struggled with math and science but if I connected and applied it to a topic I felt confident in and enjoyed, my perspective might have shifted. Working with emergent readers and writers is what I have most experience with, however am equally excited about providing students with study skills and organizational tools to help them feel empowered as learners.
