HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO JOIN IN
The Perennial Math AL Tournament on May 8th
This is for grades 3-8. There are individual and team awards. If parents want to form a team, they may do so and register the students as a team. Students may participate in the individual competition if they are not part of a team.
Due to COVID, we will do the tests online this year. Perennial Math has been hosting tournaments since 2010. Perennial Math also offers an international Online Competition and monthly Virtual Tournaments for students to face off against mathletes from around the nation.
The AL competition consists of an individual test with 15 questions with a 30 min time limit.
The team component has a team test with ten questions for 30 minutes, and students must work together. Teams are comprised of 5 members or less. Teams may work together by meeting in Zoom or with social distancing using masks. Team scores are comprised by multiplying the team test score by five and adding in the individual test scores of all members. Students and parents can view the Opening and Awards ceremonies on the Perennial Math Facebook page. All participants will be sent a pdf certificate, and individual and team winners 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place qualify to participate in the National Championships May 10-17.
