Exceptional Senior Award Deadline
Class of 2021
Exceptional Senior Award (ESA)
Congressman Chip Roy is honored to present the Exceptional Senior Award to stellar students across Texas’ 21st Congressional District for the high school graduating Class of 2021. Congressman Roy will award students in the high school graduating Class of 2021 that have consistently displayed high levels of character, leadership, integrity, and diligence with the Exceptional Senior Award.
Nominees and award winners will be chosen based upon their philanthropic activities, their academic success, and their reputations among their peers and teachers. Upon review by Congressman Roy, one graduating senior will be awarded from each public, private, and homeschool organization within TX-21.
Home schooled seniors can only be considered if they are members of a local homeschool organization. The leadership of each respective homeschool organization will be permitted to select one high school senior from that group. Congressman Roy or a representative from his office will schedule a time to present the ESA to each recipient in the spring / summer 2021.
It is suggested that each high school principal and counselor work in conjunction with faculty and staff to identify and nominate a senior from the graduating Class of 2021 for the Exceptional Senior Award. Only one nominee from each high school will be awarded. The principal, or designated representative of the school, should submit the nominee to the contact listed below. Private Schools / Homeschools: It is suggested that the principal, faculty, and board of directors of private schools work conjunctively to nominate a senior from their graduating Class of 2021. However, we recognize that school faculty know best how their organization functions, so feel free to select a senior in your own way using the standards for the Award described above.
