November 2022

The planning window for Spring 2023 athletics has passed and FEAST will not offer a golf program in 2022-23. Thank you!

October 2022

We’d love to offer golf in the spring, but we need YOUR help!

Our sports programs are volunteer-based with the purpose of providing athletics to homeschooled middle school and high school students in a Christ-centered environment. In order for FEAST to offer a specific sport, we need both leadership and players. We have interest, but we need leaders!

At this time, we are looking for a Commissioner and Head Coach for FEAST Golf. (What a way to support your child’s interest in a lifelong sport!) Apply by 10/31/22.

Eagle, Birdie, Par!

This season for FEAST Golf  has been full of surprises! With a several year pause since FEAST has offered golf, this season has provided our team with impressive players! Middle School golfer Jaylin Serenil has medaled in three tournaments! Teammates James Tavera Jr. and Brody Kessler have also each qualified for tournament play four consecutive times! Also impressive are the tremendous strides for brothers Malachi and Leonidas Bangerezako, as well as focus and eagerness to learn from Ester, Jacob, Caleb, and Emily. As we prepare for the final tournament of the season, FEAST Golf hopes to continue to represent well and take even more medals home! GO PATRIOTS GOLF!

Golf Season has Started Off with a Bang!

We have had great success starting off this year with a great bunch of eager, young golfers. As we get closer to the competitive season starting, the team is working on chipping, putting, and driving the distance. We held our first inner squad competitive match on January 19 and had an exciting day watching our young golfers demonstrate how much progress they have made in such a short period of time!

FEAST Golf is still accepting applications for assistant coaches. Apply today!

October 2021

Welcome to the new Golf (and Tennis!) Commissioner, James Tavera!

We are ecstatic for James to join our Commissioner team for not one, but two sports! The Tavera family is newer to homeschool programs such as FEAST, however; they are not new to sports. James has played virtually every sport you can imagine: football, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, golf, volleyball, and track. (Can you guess which one he played semi-pro?) He still plays in men’s league soccer, golf and makes time for tennis weekly, allowing him to stay familiar with the game.

Sports gave James the opportunity to develop skills of precision, determination, and drive – three attributes he hopes to instill in the young minds of FEAST Tennis and Golf this year. James firmly believes sports are a way for individuals to not only express their gifts, but also provides children a way to challenge themselves. Additionally, his goal is also give our athletes the tools needed to make decisions on the court and on the course, and also in life. He believes we can only measure success by overcoming our mistakes, by learning from failures, and conquering our fears.

The Tavera family has three amazing children: James II (13), Jacob (8), Lily (4). They’re members of CBC here in San Antonio and faith plays a large role in their family. Sports gave James the opportunity to go to college at The University of the Incarnate Word where he studied Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Graphic Arts. (PS: the answer is baseball!)

Thank you, James, for bringing Golf and Tennis back to FEAST Athletics!

July 2020

FEAST Golf is in need of a commissioner and a coach for the upcoming school year!

The golf program has been a mainstay of  the sports offered by FEAST, but unfortunately we have not been able to replace the leadership necessary to run the program. The Athletics Office would like to change that!

In order to do so, we need a commissioner to run the program and a coach to train and teach our players. If you or someone you know is interested, please submit an application today!
